Privacy Policy

HydeJets obtains certain Personal Data from its Users.

Types of Data Collected HydeJets collects various types of Personal Data, either directly or through third parties, including Cookies and Usage Data.

Detailed information on each type of Personal Data collected is provided in the relevant sections of this privacy policy or through specific explanatory texts displayed before the data is collected. Personal Data can be provided freely by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, automatically collected when using HydeJets.

Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by HydeJets is mandatory, and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for HydeJets to provide its services. In situations where HydeJets explicitly states that some Data is not mandatory, Users are free to choose not to provide this Data without affecting the availability or functionality of the Service.

Users who are unsure about which Personal Data is mandatory are encouraged to contact the Owner. Any use of Cookies, or other tracking tools, by HydeJets or third-party service providers used by HydeJets is intended to provide the Service required by the User, as well as any other purposes outlined in this document and in the Cookie Policy, if available.

Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data acquired, published, or shared through HydeJets and confirm that they have obtained the consent of the third party to provide the Data to the Owner 

Processing Methods and Location of Data

The Owner employs appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of the data. The Data is processed using computer systems and/or IT tools, in accordance with procedures and methods that are directly related to the stated objectives. In addition to the Owner, specific individuals in charge of HydeJets operations (such as administration, sales, marketing, legal, and system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, and communications agencies), as needed, may have access to the Data and act as Data Processors under the direction of the Owner. An updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.

Legal Basis for Processing The Owner may process User Personal Data if one of the following conditions is met:

Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: Under some laws, the Owner may process Personal Data until the User objects to such processing (“opt-out”), without having to rely on consent or any other legal basis. However, this does not apply when processing Personal Data is subject to European data protection law. Data provision is required for the performance of a contract with the User and/or for any pre-contractual obligations. Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Owner is subject. Processing is related to a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Owner. Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner or by a third party. In any case, the Owner is happy to provide clarification on the specific legal basis for processing, especially if the provision of Personal Data is a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement necessary to enter into a contract.

Location of Data Processing

The Data is processed at the Owner’s operational offices and at any other locations where the parties involved in the processing are situated.

If the User is located in a different country than the location of data processing, the transfer of data may involve transferring the User’s Data to a country outside their own. Users can obtain information on the location of processing of such transferred Data by checking the section containing details about the processing of Personal Data.

Users are entitled to know the legal basis of Data transfers to countries outside the European Union or to any international organization governed by public international law or established by two or more countries, such as the UN, and about the security measures implemented by the Owner to protect their Data.

Retention Period

HydeJets will only retain users’ personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

As such:

  • Personal data collected for the performance of a contract between HydeJets and the user will be kept until the contract has been completed.
  • Personal data collected for the purposes of HydeJets legitimate interests will be retained for as long as it is necessary to fulfill those interests. Users can find more information about HydeJets legitimate interests by contacting the company directly or by referring to the relevant sections of this Privacy Policy.
  • HydeJets may retain personal data for a longer period if the user has given consent, provided that such consent is not revoked. Additionally, HydeJets may be required to retain personal data for a longer period to comply with legal obligations or government orders.

Once the retention period ends, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, users will not be able to enforce their rights of access, erasure, rectification, or data portability once the retention period has expired.

Processing of personal data

The Owner collects Data related to the User for the purpose of providing its Services, as well as for Analytics, Contacting the User, and SPAM protection. Users can refer to the respective sections of this document for detailed information on the purposes of processing and the specific Personal Data used for each purpose.

The following services and purposes of processing are used to collect Personal Data:

Contacting the User: The User’s email address will be added to the contact list of those who may receive email messages containing information of commercial or promotional nature concerning HydeJets when they register for the mailing list or newsletter, sign up to HydeJets, or make a purchase. Personal Data collected for this purpose includes Cookies.

SPAM protection: The Owner uses Google reCAPTCHA, a SPAM protection service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to analyze the traffic of HydeJets and filter it from parts of traffic, messages, and content that are recognized as SPAM. The Data collected for this purpose includes Cookies and Usage Data.

The processing of Personal Data for each of these purposes takes place in Ireland. Users can find more information on the respective Privacy Policies and Terms of Use of each service, as well as their participation in the Privacy Shield program.

 

The right of users

This text outlines the various rights that Users have with respect to their Personal Data that is processed by the Owner. Some of the key rights include:

Additional Information About Data Collection and Processing

Legal Action The Owner may use the User’s Personal Data for legal purposes in court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of HydeJets or related services. The User is aware that the Owner may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.

Additional Information About User’s Personal Data In addition to the information contained in this privacy policy, AlbaJet may provide the User with additional and contextual information about particular services or the collection and processing of Personal Data upon request.

System Logs and Maintenance For operation and maintenance purposes, HydeJets and any third-party services may collect files that record interaction with HydeJets (system logs) and use other Personal Data (such as the IP Address) for this purpose.

Information Not Contained in This Policy Further details regarding the collection or processing of Personal Data may be requested from the Owner at any time. Please refer to the contact information provided at the beginning of this document.

How “Do Not Track” Requests Are Handled This application does not support “Do Not Track” requests. To determine whether any of the third-party services it uses honor “Do Not Track” requests, please refer to their privacy policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy The Owner reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by providing notice to its users on this page and possibly within HydeJets and/or, if technically and legally feasible, sending a notice to users via any available contact information. It is strongly recommended that users check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom.

If changes affect processing activities performed on the basis of the user’s consent, the Owner shall collect new consent from the User, where required.

Definitions and Legal References Personal Data (or Data) Any information that directly or indirectly, in connection with other information – including a personal identification number – allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.

Usage Data Information collected automatically through HydeJets (or third-party services employed in HydeJets), which can include the IP addresses or domain names of computers utilized by Users who use HydeJets, the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) addresses, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server’s answer (successful outcome, error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and operating system used by the User, the various time details per visit (such as the time spent on each page within the application), and the details about the path followed within the application with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the User’s IT environment.

The User refers to the person utilizing HydeJets and is typically the same as the Data Subject, unless specified otherwise.

The Data Subject pertains to the natural person whose Personal Data is being referred to.

The Data Processor (or Data Supervisor) is the individual or entity responsible for processing Personal Data on behalf of the Controller, as outlined in this privacy policy.

The Data Controller (or Owner) is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that decides, either alone or with others, the purposes and methods for processing Personal Data, including the safety measures involved in the use of HydeJets. The Owner of HydeJets is typically the Data Controller, unless stated otherwise.
